What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

The greatest thing about tutoring is being able to make a difference in a student's life, however small it may be. Honestly, seeing the proud face of one of my students after she received an improved grade was the most satisfying feeling in the world and is a memory that I will cherish forever. It is moments like this that motivate me to become a better tutor, and to do my best to help all students I encounter.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

Two of my key strengths as a tutor are empathy and patience. In my experience, students are motivated to do better when they truly believe that their tutors care for them. They can definitely tell if tutors are not putting in any effort, and this will affect their own performance. Therefore, my approach is to put myself in their shoes and being as patient as I would want my own teacher to be!

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

I believe the best thing a tutor can do is to actually care about the student. This can be achieved through mutual respect, communication, and actually listening to what the student has to say. One mistake many tutors make is applying a 'one size fits all' approach without adjusting to the specific needs of each student. So instead of forcing students to do work, I like to be patient and to listen to their thoughts and troubles. Only then can we work collaboratively to figure out ways to solve specific issues.
