What do I enjoy most about tutoring? π
I enjoy passing my knowledge and techniques onto students and helping them strive on an educational level. I also really enjoy seeing students go 'ahhh' when I'm able to fill the gaps in their knowledge. I believe that being educated is really important skill and that everyone should go through life with some degree knowledge, in math and English. It is also something I'd like to be part of, helping children out, giving back because I also had a tutor at some point in my life.
My Strengths as Tutor πͺ
I believe I possess great communication skills which will help me when I'm tutoring a student, allowing me to cater for their needs. I also think that skill will become useful when I'm talking to a parent and keeping them up to date with their child's progress. I also think I'm also a really patient individual and I believe, it will be a great attribute to have when tutoring because there are times when you have to be patient with a student. I also went to Melbourne High School and now attend Monash University, I have studied math my entire schooling so I see myself as an ideal candidate.
Most important things I can do for a student π
A few things I would consider are, building rapport with the student, this way they are comfortable and more willing to learn. Asking the student questions from time to time to ensure they are understanding what's going on is quite important. Asking the student if they understand what's going on. Establishing an open and honest relationship with student and the parents, where they are always able to message me in regard to any questions.
