What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
The chance to provide a new way of thinking and possibly provide a sense of excitement towards education. I am interested in giving a simplicity to learning that I believe is lost in a lot of teaching, and I find that it has learning benefits for me too as
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I know how to explain complex topics in a simplified way. I like to prescribe purpose to each teaching concept and showcase the ways in which the concept is used in society. I believe it is important to show the importance of each topic in the real world, rather than giving a blanket lesson on how to implement it.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
Understand their way of learning, and adjusting to the student to accomodate them. I have had multiple experiences where my tutor would try to teach their method and force that method upon me. However, it is important to recognise the difference in the way different people learn, and not force upon a way of learning and hope that way of learning will eventually be adopted by the student.

There are improvements in Sherishan's abilities, but there is still room for improvement in his attitude to attempt more difficult problems. After observing him over the past couple of months, I am certain he is more than capable of doing problems above his year level.
I was happily impressed with Sherishan's mentality this lesson. Sherishan was able to more easily complete an array of questions he could not do so previously.

Sherishan would benefit from using a more visual learning tool to push his learning ability and his motivation. A Naplan textbook may suit him in the future.

Desmos is a great tool for simulations of a range of functions. Sachin is already familiar and competent with the tool. He should continue to use it to fully master the topic.
