What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I really enjoy tutoring children because it gives me satisfaction every time someone learns because of me. In return, I also enjoy learning from them. When I am manipulating equations and formulas, I want to show it with someone and I really like the looks on their face when they understand a concept such as how pi was determined, how quadratic equation was formed, how it is related to parabolas and etc.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I believe my strengths are that I am patient, I provide detailed techniques that will be effective for children to learn, and that I am committed to ensuring that the students learn everything—literally everything! I teach slowly because I want to ensure that people truly understand the lesson. One more important thing is that I teach them how to think when approaching lessons or problems that will make effective learning and good mindset.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
For me, the most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to ensure effective learning. The student should master the lesson, and the tutor should also create a comfortable environment for the student by building a connection with them, all while maintaining a focus on the learning aspect. Other than that, confidence gained by a student is very important because once this is achieved, the student can learn by his/herself.

Chloe mastered translation and reflection of angles pretty quickly. She had thoughts about practice exercises and could solve them with minimal guidance. She showed a good understanding and was confident in the solution of these types of problems.
When it came to rotations, Chloe struggled to some extent with finding and applying the rotation angles correctly and determining the final position of figures following that rotation. More practice will be needed to give her confidence in this aspect, particularly for rotations along various degrees and directions.

Today, Chloe mastered the concepts of mean, median, and mode. She grasped what each means, how to calculate each, and how to use them in simple contexts. She was very participative in the exercises that really furthered her understanding.
Chloe, in calculating the mean with tables of values, overlooked important information-something like summing values correctly or dividing by a correct total frequency. This generally led to minor errors in her calculations. The more practice she gets in extracting and putting data together from tables, the more it would see her through this problem.

Chloe grasped the concepts at the review session. She was explaining with confidence, her reasoning, on every topic I brought up: mean, median, mode, and interquartile range. That has shown she retained these concepts from previous lessons. I thought that her ability to apply the interquartile range in practice questions was good because of how quickly she grasped it during the session.
Chloe just needs some reminders because there are some situations where extra step is needed particularly with getting the interquartile range and the median. But, by the end of the lesson I tried to make her explain the topics herself and she managed to include the specific situations where an extra step was needed.

Chloe quickly picked up on the concept of rates, particularly understanding how to calculate rates in various contexts. It was very smart of her to compare it with ratios which is pretty much related to rates.
Chloe struggled with more complex word problems, particularly those that required multiple steps to set up the equation.
