- After explanation, student is able to thoroughly grasp the understanding of mathematical processes - Student has well built foundations for tackling questions. Thus she’s confident attempting questions on topics she’s studying.
- Having a calculator at the start of each lesson . This isn’t something relating to Jaida’s performance in the lesson but more so something to note about being prepared. Having her own Calculator in the lesson will also help me understand how fast she’s able to do questions and whether thats an area that needs to be addressed. - Retaining basic processes. Sometimes there are questions that apply the same basic principles that have been taught previously. For example simplifying unit ratios. After some hints shes able to recall the process, however its imperative that this become second nature.

This first lesson was used a basis, to get up to speed and know what content Jaida is currently studying. - As always, make sure she is employing studying techniques such as back checking and speaking the problems to herself as shes working. - Constantly review notes. I understand the exam is quite far away, but constantly reviewing notes and mathematical processes will help her retain the content and be better prepared come exam week - One important thing I didn’t notice much last year was the lack of feedback back reflection. If she has any questions regarding any questions she’s done whilst studying I implore her to ask me
