What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
My drive for teaching is built on the satisfaction I feel when I pass on my own understanding to someone else. To me, the best feeling for a mentor is seeing your mentee develop their skills from when you first met them, and then go on to achieving to the best of their academic ability, which is something I'm keen on getting involved with.My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I think my biggest skill as a mentor is my ability to understand and acknowledge how different people learn. Not only can I tell quickly the pace at which someone is grasping various concepts, but I believe I can then adjust my own tempo accordingly to best optimise the teaching. I also firmly believe I have that extensive knowledge in the specific subjects I plan to teach from my own experiences as a school student just a couple of years ago, and I'm always keen to learn and develop my knowledge further.Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I think the most important thing a tutor can do for a student is understand that each student is different and learns best in different ways and at different paces. I also firmly believe that engaging the student by doing things like connecting concepts to the real world or even to the student's own interests is paramount for the overall retention of the topics. Finally, a tutor being well versed and confident in their own knowledge and skills is also very important for the student, as their learning can be limited if the content is not known and confidently taught by the tutor.Subjects Tutored 🎓
