What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

One thing I enjoy about tutoring is creating positive impacts on a student's life. As a tutor, I always give adequate time and space to my students. I also provide them opportunities to ask questions, experiment with new ideas and make mistakes. When I see they are more confident due to my support and do well in their exams and assignments, it gives me a real sense of gratification and pride. Another thing I love is when students get excited about learning and ask questions. I like interacting with them, helping them understand the content as well as learning from them.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

One strength I have is the personal experience from my academic life, which allows me to have a deeper understanding of the school curriculum across many year groups. This allows me to teach the contents of the curriculum in various ways and I have the capability to adjust my teaching styles considering the different learning styles and needs of students. Another strength I possess is that I am an effective communicator in writing and speech. The most important thing I believe a tutor can do for the students is to understand and listen to them and their needs. When a tutor listens and spends time building a relationship with his/her student, it allows the tutor to personalise the learning for the student by incorporating connections to the student's interests. In addition, it allows the tutor to understand the strengths and weaknesses of the students and hence teach them more efficiently.
