My favourite aspect of tutoring is sharing my knowledge with other people. The only way society has ever been able to progress is by sharing knowledge. I am highly experienced in the field of mathematics and science with specialised, in-depth experience in the Year 11/12 Preliminary/HSC courses (with the capacity to teach any age group in extension). I am qualified to tutor all levels of Preliminary/HSC Mathematics (Including Extension 1 & 2) as well as the Preliminary/HSC Physics and Chemistry courses. I think my biggest advantage is that I'm able to account for the underlying principles of the concepts being taught instead of regurgitating memorized formulae and explanations. Since I understand precisely what's going on, I can use this in my explanation to convey the concept at hand more clearly and logically whilst also enriching students with the same fundamental understanding.Most important things I can do for a student π
At the end of a session, you want your student to understand the concept being taught, rather than blindly solving problems using formulae without understanding why. Targeting low-confidence areas: Most people like doing things they're good at but if you're already competent in those areas, you're just wasting time. This is why it's important to target the areas that need the most assistance first. Revision: To retain freshly learned concepts, active revision is necessary.
