My strength would be pinpointing what the student doesn't understand and using analogies or using patterns from concepts they already understand to portray the idea so the student understads.

Being able to give them the independence of trying a question and then spending a reasonable amount of time trying to solve it rather than only explaining for the full tutoring session.
