What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I enjoy the connection that is built with the students through tutoring the most. By interacting with student, a strong connection can be formed which can allow the me (as a tutor) to understand the insecurities, fears, ambitions, and dreams of a student. This connection can help me to better help the student and encourage them in both their academic and personal life. Furthermore, the impact a tutor has on a student can be profound and can even improve a students self esteem, set them on the true path to success or even make them more confident in their academic choices.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

As a tutor, I believe I have a strong foundation in maths and chemistry have the ability to impart my knowledge upon students. I am adaptable and understand that each student is different, which therefore requires me to adapt my approach of teaching new concepts for each student. Furthemore, I have good communication skills that will allow me to develop rapport with my students. I am a good listener that is capable of understanding misconceptions that students have. I am able to practice empathy so that students can voice concerns while feeling validated. I am professional and reliable.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

The most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to improve their studying skills and help them develop their confidence in their academics. This includes adapting the teaching style to one that best suits the student. Other methods include helping to create study timetables to allow students to become independent, split the workload, and manage time efficiently. Apart from academics, tutors can also create safe spaces for students where they feel confident, validated, and valued. This is important as it allows students to voice their concerns and allows to work as a team efficiently.
