What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

It is very satisfying for me to give young people confidence. I believe that confidence can change young people's lives and lead them to achieve their bests. It gave me great pleasure to see one of my guitar students go from looking slightly glum in the first lesson to being surprisingly animated the following week because I was able to give them the confidence they needed to obtain some musical skills.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

As I have recently graduated from school, I have a strong understanding of the academic pressures felt by students and how to overcome them. However, my key strength as a tutor is that I know how to encourage students to develop positive and confident mindsets. I know how enthusiasm can help students to achieve their goals and overcome their fears because I found success myself in year 12 by being confident and using effective study methods. I hope to pass on both of these tactics to students.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

From my years of soccer coaching experience, where I worked to improve the skills of a dozen different players of different levels, I learned that every student learns best in their own way and that is why tutoring is so important. In the classroom, everyone receives the same treatment and it is bound to be ineffective for many people. Thus, the most important thing a tutor can do is teach them in the way they need to be taught. I feel like I am up for this challenge as I know a range of different methods of teaching through the use of visual references, verbal games, and more.
