What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

Finding the moment of success, when someone 'gets it', is incredibly rewarding. The collaborative effort to learn and develop with students is what I enjoy most about tutoring.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

Understanding the perspectives of a student when learning content. I understand the roadblocks that many students face when attempting to learn certain topics, and know how to explain them to my student, so that they can move forward. A topic that may be initially confusing, often makes sense in how it relates to another topic that they've learnt. I strive to clarify these links and allow my student to build a web of understanding for themselves.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

As a tutor, the most valuable thing I can do is provide opportunities for the student to learn, and allow them to become self-sufficient. My time with any student is limited, but their time to study themselves is not. I believe that building the confidence, strategy, and ethos to apply critical thinking and seek holistic understanding is the paramount factor in not just academic performance, but for life in general. As such, I try my best in instilling the philosophy of learning to students, rather than spending my time doing reps to master any one topic.
