What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
Since I am studying to be a pre-service teacher, it is very important to me to interact with the students and to communicate with them through tutoring. It has become a passion of mine to support students to become successful students and I believe that tutoring can be a way for me to assist them in achieving this goal. In addition to being flexible and rewarding, tutoring is an exciting job where I will be able to make a real difference for the students. No matter what I am working on, the one-on-one educational support that you provide can be an important part of their success.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I consider myself to be a tutor who has the strength of being organized and capable of collaborating. Organising is also preparing all the sources that are needed for the students to complete the work that they are assigned. I find that students often get shy and have difficulty expressing their problems. However, by providing the two strengths that I was able to provide, they will not only be able to focus on their homework but they will also develop themselves.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
To me, what tutors can do most effectively for students is to help them achieve their learning outcomes at the end of each lesson. There is a specific need for us to teach to the student's strengths while minimizing the student's weaknesses. With regards to tutoring, we are solely responsible for setting up a teaching method to assist the student with their assignment. Additionally, in order to increase the flexibility of students, it is necessary to build their confidence and improve their study skills.

Mia has understood the concept where the student is able to correctly identify the sequence in which different operations should be performed within an expression, that's a strong indicator of their understanding of the order of operations.
Mia got mistakes occur when interpreting negative signs as subtraction instead of treating them as unary operators for negative numbers. She also got confusion in performing multiplication before division, even though these operations should be carried out from left to right in the order they appear.

Mia showed great enthusiasm and engagement during the tutoring session. She demonstrated a solid understanding of basic concepts, such as identifying whole numbers and performing simple addition and subtraction operations. Mia was quick to grasp the concept of placing whole numbers on the number line and effectively compared and ordered them. Her ability to solve basic word problems involving whole numbers was commendable, showcasing good problem-solving skills.
While Mia performed well in basic operations, she found some difficulties when dealing with more complex multiplication and division problems. She had trouble understanding the concept of multiplication as repeated addition and division as the inverse operation of multiplication. Additionally, Mia occasionally struggled with carrying and borrowing during multi-digit addition and subtraction. It would be beneficial to provide her with additional practice in these areas to build confidence and accuracy.

Mia showed great attentiveness and interest in understanding patterns and functions. She understood the concept of patterns quickly and could easily identify arithmetic sequences and geometric sequences in various examples. She also demonstrated proficiency in representing functions using tables and graphs and had little difficulty determining the rule of a given function.
While Mia excelled in identifying and representing patterns and functions, she encountered some challenges when dealing with more complex sequences and functions. She occasionally struggled to find the underlying rule when the pattern was not immediately obvious, especially in non-linear sequences. Additionally, she faced some difficulties in understanding the concept of inverse operations in functions.

Mia has demonstrated a solid understanding of angle measurement and were able to accurately use protractors to measure angles. She has correctly identified and classified different types of angles, such as acute, obtuse, right, and straight angles.
It could be beneficial for Mia to work on developing a deeper understanding of angle properties and their applications in more complex geometric situations. She could also focus on providing more detailed explanations and justifications for their mathematical reasoning.
