What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I enjoy seeing students working hard to succeed and reach their own goals. Providing my students with the skills they need to succeed is what I hope to achieve with every student. It sparks joy within me to see my students attain the high grades they deserve, and reaffirms my own abilities as a tutor.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
As a tutor, my strengths lie in being able to connect and communicate with each student. Ensuring that they feel comfortable enough with me to ask questions allows students to grasp a fuller understanding of their subject and help them to reach their fullest potential.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I want to help my students grow and learn, allowing them to succeed academically. Providing for them a supportive learning environment increases a student's confidence and willingness to learn. In befriending each student whilst also remaining strict on their work ethic and standards, I instil in them a sense of responsibility and accountability for their own schooling. Recognising this obligation and turning it into motivation is what helps a student succeed.

Nothing in particular.

Liam is beginning to improve on his writing speed and is understanding the concept of 'don't stop writing' during an exam. I had initially timed him under exam conditions and this time he had minutes to spare!
He would benefit from revising notes I had given him prior. There are keywords that would allow him to easily get a few more marks if he was able to use them effectively.
Liam is beginning to grasp concepts within the book that are more refined and conceptual. This should really begin helping him to achieve the A-range marks.

Nothing in particular at the moment.
Liam was able to come up with a lot of the ideas before I even mentioned them. This is a drastic improvement from when he first began tutoring.

He would definitely benefit from practice of identifying techniques in literature and trying to connect symbolism beyond just what the book physically tells him.
