What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I want to become a Primary Teacher so educating young students and helping them gives me purpose and I am enthusiastic about this. I want to inspire and have a positive impact on the students as well as the parents too. Being able to teach young kids and seeing them not only grow as students but as people. I want to see the ways they can enhance their learning to help them reach their potential and to be proud of what they have achieved.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I have been in their footsteps more recently than their parents or teachers (graduated in 2020) so I can relate to students regarding pressure from family/teachers and I will put in effort and patience to help the students learn. I understand not everyone is going to get things right on the first go. I will try to use different learning strategies because 'not one size fits all'. I also am a pretty flexible person and I will be able to communicate effectively and efficiently with the student and the parents.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

Not only help them with their basic learning but conceptually understand what they are learning and how they can continue to keep that knowledge in their mind. Tutors need to be calm, and patient and let students them know it is okay to make mistakes because there is so much pressure from family and teachers to get everything right. Making mistakes is okay but when the same mistake is being made is when some change needs to happen. Being honest with the student and adapting to the student's needs is so important too. They won't be able to achieve their potential when their needs are not met.
