What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

Tutoring has always been my most enjoyable experience when working in a paid job. Creating a relationship with your student and watching them grow has always been a pleasant feeling, knowing that I have been able to pass my own personal knowledge on how to tackle specific problems in areas such as mathematics to the next generation. Tutoring is also enjoyable as it is in an academic environment, similar to my future aspirations.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

Due to my exposure to different teaching methods, I apply different ways to help my student understand concepts and eventually slowly release them from my 'grasp' as they move through a worksheet or problems. I am able to maintain patience whilst teaching the student as I also understand the frustrations of being a student and their struggles when trying to succeed in subjects that may be beyond their abilities. Other strengths include my adaptability to different problems, enthusiasm when interacting with students and openness to how students currently feel.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

A tutor must be able to understand how a student studies and provide emotional support whilst helping them understand confusing concepts in their studies. Different students study in different ways and forcing them to conform to one way to understand something is the same as teaching a fish how to walk. Emotional support is also another important aspect for tutors as students may find it difficult to take in knowledge and perform well when they are not in a good state of mind. The last important thing for in my opinion is ensuring that students truly understand concepts.
