What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I am an only-child so I have always loved working with kids and teenagers, that is the main reason why I have ventured into tutoring. What I enjoy most about the tutoring is when my students, or my little brothers and sisters as I treat them, come up to me the very next day and say (non-verbatim) "I was able to answer all the questions correctly and therefore, I am sure I will get a good mark!". Every time it happens, I feel like I have fulfilled my duties as an engineer who should be pursuing students to always aim for the highest because for me, grades do matter in life.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
Usually on the first meeting when my tutoring is face-to-face, I would tell my student to think of me as their elder sister. As an only-child, I treat my students more than just my students and another source of income: I treat and teach them as if they are my real brothers and sisters. This passion comes with love but hold it, I can also be a very strict elder sister especially when we have certain goals, like scores or grades, to meet.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
1. Patience as every student has different levels of needs
2. Positive words: having treated my student(s) as my younger brother(s)/sister(s), I only pursue the best to them even if circumstances (grades/scores/situations) are not in their favor, I have never used the word "fail".
3.) Balance love with goals. Hence, strictness.
4.) Aside from strictness, balance by finding out their interests and try to apply it what they've learnt.
5.) Commitment
