My Strengths as Tutor 💪
In the first meeting with my students I like to develop a personal relationship to understand the personality and background of the student before attempting to go through course material. I believe the most important area of learning maths is self-confidence. I work on the student's confidence by developing an enjoyable relationship with the student and develop their core fundamentals in maths. Once the student has a solid foundation (their consistent writing/set up & structure/clear thinking) moving with them through the course material can begin and it is then that progress can be made.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
The most important part of being a tutor is to provide support. I gain trust with my students by showing them that I am there to support them fully. I engage with them one on one and ensure that there is truly no question 'too stupid' that they cannot ask me for help with. I find over time how the student personally learns and work with their own way. There is no one rigid way to learn maths, only a deeply personal method that takes time to develop. No matter what level the student is at, I first go back & develop the solid fundamentals to develop a strong foundation to then make progress.
