What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

The relationship I build with the student. Knowing their passions, their dislikes, what they like about school and what makes them tick. I love the excitement and feeling students get when they finally understand something that they have been struggling with, it is truly a rewarding experience.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I build relationships very quickly and as a qualified teacher, I know I have a thorough understanding of topics and how they are applied in the curriculum. I am very considerate of students' feelings and am quick to act as best to support their individual needs. I also have experience providing support to Special Educational Needs students.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

Listen carefully to how they think about the subject - what is it that they struggle with? Why do they like/not like the subject? What do they understand and what exactly do they need assitance with? As tutors we do not want to assume how students feel or what they do or do not know. Be a good listening ear for them and available when they need it. You never know what support students get elsewhere, so it is so important that as a student we can act as another realm of support.
