What do I enjoy most about tutoring? š
First, I really love math. My mom was a math teacher/ tutor and her love for it flowed into me throughout my life. Along with that, being able to share my knowledge and help students achieve things that they may not have thought they could is super rewarding.
My Strengths as Tutor šŖ
As I tutor I can adjust my style of teaching to the student which is important because every person learns differently. Also, I have received feedback from students in the past saying that it never felt like I was talking down to them. Being able to help a student learn without making them feel small or less intelligent is something that I am very considerate of.
Most important things I can do for a student š
Being adaptable and patient are the things I find to be the most important. I feel that people are their own worst critic and not being able to do something right away can really take a toll on a person. Being able to adjust my teaching technique, being calm, and being supportive while a student may be struggling is so important to the students success.

About Lauren
Hi! Iām Lauren :)
I grew up in the US and have always been someone who is kind, silly, patient, and supportive.
I have always loved math so it was no surprise that I decided to study mathematics & statistics in university. I graduated in 2022 with a bachelors of science and a GPA of 3.99/4.00. I worked as an actuary for a large consulting firm in NYC for 4 years before I decided to take some time off to travel Asia.
Iām happy to be in Australia now and am excited to help students achieve their math goals in any way that I can!
