What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

My favourite part about tutoring is watching my students grow. It's really great to see when people piece together all the little ideas about a concept and then get a clearer understanding of what it is. I also think that getting a tutor is a huge indication that a student is willing to ask for help and motivated to learn, this makes me enjoy contributing to their learning growth.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I think my biggest strength as a tutor lies in my patience. This wasn't always easy for me and it definitely doesn't come naturally but it's something I've had to develop over the years. I think working with more people really helped me grow this skill and it's something I want to continue to develop. Another strength of mine is empathy. I think that's a really important strength as a tutor because it helps you understand where students are coming from at times when you may feel a bit frustrated.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

I think the most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to listen and create a safe space for the student. When tutors don't listen it'll be a waste of time for both parties. This can be very hard because sometimes students may not be able to pinpoint what they don't understand or they might just feel a bit embarrassed. This is where having a safe and comfortable environment for your student comes in. This way they can feel comfortable working with you and sharing any questions or queries they may have.
