What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

The connections you form with students and even your peers within the tutoring industry are powerful and important. From learning about what makes them tick as a student, to learning their fears and insecurities, to learning their life goals and ambitions, to even learning their life philosophies, you see different perspectives about life and how to approach different situations. You are also a role model for your students. I found a lot of enjoyment in teaching my students on not just how to survive school academically, but also socially and mentally.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

My communication skills, and understanding for the emotional world of children–especially at elementary level, is my strong point as a teacher. I do not find it hard to gain trust of the students, because I understand how they feel in different situations and can choose the right words in my lessons

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

Tutors should check for understanding as they go and constantly build confidence so that the student feels like their abilities are improving. When a student feels confident, wonderful things begin to happen. Their curiosity is ignited, and they are more likely to ask questions in class and read additional texts about things that interest them. They are more apt to participate in class and in experiments and other exercises that will add to their knowledge. Students who are confident trust their instincts and perform better on exams and assignments. They are more likely to complete assignments
