What do I enjoy most about tutoring? π
I really enjoy being there for the whole process, and seeing the student grow in their knowledge as well as ability to work hard. I love being able to help kids by treating them as individuals, and figuring out what method of learning best suits them. Furthermore, it is encouraging to see the student discover their strengths and the areas of school they enjoy!
My Strengths as Tutor πͺ
I think my strengths as a tutor include patience, creativity and approachable personality. From my previous tutoring experiences, I have been able to gain patience and understanding for the kids that may be struggling with their subjects. Furthermore, I am a problem-solver, and am able to come up with different solutions to fit the student's needs. In addition to this, I really enjoy working with kids, and get along with them easily.
Most important things I can do for a student π
I believe the most important things a tutor can do for a student is to challenge yet support them in their studies. By challenging the student to do better, yet simultaneously reminding them that it is okay to fail, the student will feel inspired enough to try. Furthermore, it is extremely important to build a personal relationship with the student, and see them as a whole person instead of just a project to work on. This opens the door to mentoring, supporting the particular student's strengths, and encouraging their creativity.
