What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

It is definitely helping students progress. It is a joy to help transform the mindset and ability of a student from struggling with concepts to being delighted and proud when they understand a subject and can see improvement. This self confidence and ability to learn is so important for future development

My Strengths as Tutor πŸ’ͺ

With numerous years of previous experience, I have the necessary skills and abilities to continue on my tutoring journey and helping young people succeed in their education. I am educated to a masters level in Economics so have a wealth of experience and knowledge in Economics and maths concepts. I undertook Legal studies at high school and early university and have worked professionally for numerous years helping to build up my business acumen whereby I can pass on my business knowledge. I also enjoy seeing people progress and succeed and one of the greatest joys is watching students be proud

Most important things I can do for a student πŸ…

I think one of the most important traits a tutor needs is patience. It is not helpful to make the student feel stupid or inadequate and of course each student is unique and learns at a different pace. Patience is pivotal to make the student feel like it is a safe space to ask questions, be willing to rephrase concepts until they understand and give them ample time to learn at their speed. A good communicator is also essential. Sometimes students do not understand what they don't know and so being flexible to explain things in different ways or with different examples is key.
