What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

Helping students through tutoring with this company would be a dream come true as I was able to work through even the worst days of my schooling experience because of the teachers and mentors who encouraged me to find my own rhythm within studying and creating, and I would like to have that effect on the generations of students who are coming after me. I believe that every person has the potential to find joy and fulfilment in creativity and learning, though many have never had the adequate resources or motivation to try and therefore may struggle with connecting to those subjects.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I understand that the process of learning will differ between each student, who each learn and succeed in different ways, whether that be through visual, auditory, written or kinaesthetic stimulus. Because of this I would make my lessons with a range of modes of learning such as videos, worksheets and engaging quiz programs, and in-depth feedback regarding their progress will always be provided. I would also be able to provide advice regarding exam or assignment anxiety and time management as this was also a problem I overcame through help and I know could be debilitating for students.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

Encouraging the student to see their potential as something that can only grow from that point onwards, and telling them that even if the process of creating an environment and mindset where they can learn is a long and arduous one, it will improve with time and the skills learnt along the way will stay with them for the rest of their school lives and beyond. I believe that every person finds success in different ways and for a student really struggling with their confidence I would create lesson plans which allow them to achieve small goals that are the stepping stones to larger goals.
