What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
The outcome on the student's grades is the best feeling. While tutoring as a process is enjoyable, it has a particular objective of improving the student's understanding and eventually his/her/their grade. Seeing that happen is the best a tutor can ask for.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I have a very logical approach to teaching my specialty subjects, taking methodical and incremental learning steps to ensure the session is successful. In addition, by focusing on student comprehension, I make sure that the student does not face issues further along in the subject: this makes for a long-term successful experience for the student. I also engage the student in the process by asking questions.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
The most important thing is to give the students better clarity than when they first joined the session.

Alexis is able to correctly answer most questions with little guidance. She is on par with students entering grade 3 and should be fully prepared for NAPLAN's English Convention by the end of the year.
When she is stuck, Alexis spends a lot of time trying to think through the question and find the right answer. She also struggles with the more advanced questions, which is not an issue at this stage but should be something she keeps working on.
Alexis and Ariana both show an interest in developing their French further. Alexis seemed to enjoy coming up with words that she would want to know in French.

Much more work needs to be done to make the two girls fluent speakers, readers and writers of French. The tutor will come up with a curriculum for them.

Husa was able to grasp most of the concepts on her own.
Some of the harder concepts were tough for Husa, but with the tutor's help, she was able to understand them. It is suggested that she continues the worksheets on her own and reaches out to the tutor for the harder concepts.

Ashleigh could figure out the general methods for almost all questions she was given. Her maths concepts are good.
While concepts and methods were good, Ashleigh struggles with harder questions and lacks confidence in tackling them. Hence, she leaves small mistakes which prevent her from getting the correct final answer. This can be resolved with more practice.
