What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

Up until grade 6, I struggled in school with Math. Seeing my situation, my mother enrolled me in a tutoring centre where with the help of a wonderful tutor, Math quickly went from being my least favourite subject to the one I liked the most. I realized that Math isn't hard if you're taught in the right manner and I started off by helping my classmates who struggled with it. That is what appeals to me the most about tutoring, the satisfaction of helping a person understand something they have difficulty comprehending.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

As I mentioned earlier, I had difficulty with Maths at a young age and it was a tutor that changed my perspective on the subject. Hence, I understand that it is very important to be patient with students and it is crucial to being a good tutor. My communication skills (secured maximum score in Pearson English Langue Test in reading, writing, listening, and speaking), enthusiasm, and ability to motivate & empathize are my other major strengths.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

In my opinion, the most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to let them know that it is okay to make mistakes. People learn and understand things at a different pace and not everyone can learn from their first mistake. This is important because a student should feel comfortable in the surroundings they learn in without feeling flustered or tensed. A positive tutor-student relationship is necessary to instill confidence.
