What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
- Developing a comfortable connection with student/s
- Improving student/s' grades (if they themselves are concerned about it)
- Making schoolwork less stressful, more bearable, and hopefully somewhat engaging for students, and overall reducing the load and pressure of schoolwork and results.
- Making students confident in their abilities
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
- Very tolerant, ie. can both understand and adapt when students are struggling to grasp a certain concept
- Have had experience previously babysitting kids (we've had some clients come in with their kids for sales appointments).
- Great understanding of the advanced math, legal studies & IPT curriculums and content for senior years of high school, and I'm also familiar with the HSC marking process (criterias, scaling, etc.)
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I think that most students aren't too interested in most subjects. So for a tutor, it is basically a must that they can make their lesson at least somewhat engaging for their students (since they are having time taken out of their life just to study more, there's a high likelihood that they're even more disinterested).
The next most important thing is understanding your students' current capabilities. It's key to review your students' results and exams and ask questions that probe their abilities. That way you can focus on the content that'll help them the most.
