What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
First and foremost, through tutoring, I also review my subjects again. As I am a statistics student (a branch of mathematics), I would love to review the basics again (sharpening my skills). Secondly, I have to be honest, when I could help individuals to achieve a level of understanding (succeed in school), is on its own rewarding. I want students to see that studying could be fun and that there is joy in learning.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
Personally, when I study I try to understand the materials thoroughly therefore even as a tutor, I would want my students to understand the materials (especially in math, people tend to remember but not understand what the subject is). additionally, I love to encourage students to try other formulas and find their own study habits.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
the most important thing a tutor can do is to be understanding. People learn at different paces and ways, you have to understand and connect with your student. Do not berate them and always encourage them. While I don't have any experience as a formal tutor, I believe you should be understanding and welcoming. By this I mean, that you should empathize and connect with them, because if they don't like you personally, most likely they wouldn't love studying with you.
