What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I enjoy engaging with students from different walks of life and understanding about their interests, goals and respective learning styles to plan and facilitate lessons in a way that would best appeal to each of them. In doing this, I challenge myself to view and present ideas through various perspectives, allowing me to constantly further my own world view. I also find it particularly satisfying when students understand concepts that had previously stumped them, and when they grow to love subjects they previously struggled with.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I believe my strengths as a tutor stem not only from a strong mastery of English, but also the ability to identify students' strengths, weaknesses, interests and learning styles to effectively craft lessons that best work for them. I'm also approachable, allowing students to feel comfortable expressing opinions and asking questions. Moreover, I believe in a more facilitative approach, which allows students to bring in their own insights which we can then refine together, giving them greater confidence and ownership over their work.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

Supporting a student in their goals, in addition to helping them uncover their strengths and overcome their weaknesses / refine areas of improvement. Through the course of tutoring lessons which will equip students with strong academic foundations, I believe tutors can and should foster students' confidence and guide them in their journeys as accomplished individuals in their own right.
