What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

The one thing I enjoy most about tutoring is the connection and impact I make with a student. Every student I had along the way has made such an impact on me and vice versa. I love that I was becoming a role model for students who didn’t have such a figure around them. I was giving students confidence to pursue any field of interest. I also do enjoy the flexibility.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I think one of my biggest strengths as a tutor is my patience. I’m the oldest of four children and I had to learn to be patient when dealing with the everyday hassles. I think another strength of mine would be my flexibility and my communication skills. I think one of the most important skills I do have is my ability to collaborate with others. In order to tutor successfully you have to understand that there is a team behind a student that is willing to help and be a support system.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

I believe that the most important thing a tutor can do for students is understanding that not everyone understands and gains knowledge the same way. Everybody learning methods is different and as a tutor you need to be able to respect that. By trying to incorporate a learning method that works with your student into your lesson plans, you instill the value of respect and increase self esteem. A lot of times when students hear tutor, they tend to lose self-esteem and think that they are dumb, but you will be increasing their self-esteem and telling them that their opinions are respected.
