What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I enjoy being able to teach those in need of help, especially those in fields in am passionate about including history, law and english. Contributing to student wellbeing and learning outcomes is something I thoroughly enjoy.
As well, i have a strong love of learning, in all aspects, be STEM or humanities subject respectively. Through assisting students learning and developing these skills, I would enjoy the process of improving grades, knowledge and understanding in content.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
Strengths i believe i poses that would be greatly beneficial to a tutoring role is my patience, leadership and communication skills. These skills can be highlighted throughout my time in the St Peter's Mooting Program where we achieved the runner-up award in the State Law Society competition. As captain, communicating with my team was crucial to achieving success, developing my leadership and patience skills when communicating with peers and colleagues. As well, communication, orally and written were developed through preparing legal arguments.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
The most important thing a tutor can do for their student is to accommodate their learning style. Students have ranging techniques and motivations when learning content. Personally, I struggled with auditory learning as a student, and would therefore ask my teachers to give me a range of tactile learning techniques to assist in my learning. I believe tutors can similarly accommodate this. With students having unique ways of understanding content, through communicating and adapting to the students needs or requirements, a better learning environment can be created.
