The most important role as a tutor is to give students confidence in their knowledge and ability. In my personal opinion, objectively high grades (e.g. 80% or more) should not be placed with as high importance as most people tend to do. I believe that if a student understands the content on a level that allows them to make connections or provide more detailed answers, this gives them the integral skill of how to tackle academics throughout VCE and beyond.
