What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
Tutoring is a valuable and rewarding experience, not only for the student, but also for the tutor. When I help a younger student understand the basics of algebra, sit down with my brother to read through his science homework, even read over a classmate's essays to give feedback, there's a glowing feeling that cannot be understated.
In this job, I hope to assist everyone to achieve their best and tap into that unlimited potential we all have. I am also looking to study Education in university and eventually become a high school teacher myself, providing valuable experience for the future.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
As a tutor, I strive to be compassionate and empathetic firstly. Every student is different and it's important to adapt and adjust to their individual needs. With my brother, who cannot deal with chunks of textbook passages, I have to work visually, using diagrams and images to convey information.
Along these lines, I am also strong willed and passionate for education. No matter how difficult it may seem to help someone learn, I will do the best of my ability to help them.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
Tutors are valuable to a student, and offer something unique. For one, meaningful relationships can be built and developed in tutoring, which in turn builds engagement. From my personal experience, learning comes more easily when the teacher strives to craft close relationships with students.
From the tedium of the classroom, tutors can also offer a fresh perspective on the subject matter. New connections can be made, tying together different concepts and ideas. which in turn, transforms learning from a dredge to cascading fun.
