What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I enjoy helping students learn material they struggle with, as well as sharing their passion for their subjects and areas of interest. I find teaching very rewarding, especially the moment when a student understands content they have been struggling with.

My Strengths as Tutor πŸ’ͺ

I am a patient and adaptable person, which allows me to cater to each student's individual needs. I make sure to maintain a positive outlook when tutoring students which enables them to persevere in their work. I also communicate well when explaining subject material and difficult content.

Most important things I can do for a student πŸ…

I consider it important that tutors to personalise learning experiences for student. Every student has different approaches to learning and given that tutors have more flexibility to work with students outside their classroom, it's important that tutors account for students' various learning needs. For example, providing diagrams for students who are visual learners. I also consider it important to incorporate students' interests into lessons and ask for their input on said lessons. Doing so makes lessons more engaging for the student and gives students more agency in their learning.
