What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I enjoy the motivating and inspiring environment that is cultivated in every tutoring lesson. I understand that being able to hire a tutor is a privilege, and should be fully utilised and appreciated, and thus, being able to provide the deservingly enriching experience is extremely rewarding for me.
Being able to see clients' progress in both academic measures and confidence through knowledge is another aspect that makes tutoring extremely worthwhile.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
My strengths as a tutor are definitely my simplistic communication and explanations that I provide. This creates a comforting environment that does not overwhelm students. I also pride myself in being a tutor who accounts for different learning styles, and through my own experience with trialling different study methods, understand that learning is not a "one-size-fits-all" aspect of life.
Overall, by drawing upon my own experiences and values as a student, I am able to create a more positive and inspiring –while still being constructive– environment.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
The outright role of a tutor is to improve a student's area of understanding of a subject and thus improve their grades for it. But a tutor should also recognise if a student may be more successful in a different path, and guide them to their preferred successes. A good tutor carries out their actions for their students, even if it is not of outright benefit to themselves, and the student's best interest is always of utmost priority. By doing so, students will be able to thrive not only academically, but socially and emotionally. And to me, that is the most important aspect of being a tutor.
