What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I thoroughly enjoy learning and teaching, thus it is truly a great experience to pass that knowledge onto another student and see them grasp the concepts well. As someone who truly enjoys mathematics, it was a great experience this year to aid the student through their difficulties to gain a newfound appreciation for the subject. It is rewarding to be able to guide a student to success and be able to see the improvement, no matter how small.My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I possess strong listening skills to receive feedback about my lessons and tailor them specifically to the student to ensure that they are improving in a way that is beneficial and enjoyable for them. I am able to make lessons fun whilst still remaining on topic so that the student can associate what they are learning with an enjoyable experience. I am very punctual with both my attendance and my responses via email for questions thus exhibiting the support I offer to my students as well as a setting a good example.Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
Firstly, patience is essential for a tutor to enable the student to ask as many questions as necessary and ask for guidance when they are unsure. Furthermore, as a tutor, I believe that I should not always give the answer straight away if the student is unsure but rather explain the concepts in a different way to allow the student to come to the conclusion themselves. This increases the likelihood that they will retain this understanding.
