I enjoy building a positive relationship with my student so they trust me and are comfortable admitting what they don't understand. I love watching their confidence grow as they begin to believe they have the capacity to improve, and with confidence usually comes a passion in the subject material. I am passionate about the subject material, and can often impart some of that love of learning onto the student. I am able to identify where students are lacking in their knowledge, and cater my teaching methods to fill in those gaps. Create a comfortable, secure environment in their sessions by praising students for effort and engagement rather than correctness. Tutor's should not just tell students whether they are correct or incorrect, but explain why. They must analyse a students working towards the solution to determine exactly where they are lacking in understanding and cater their teaching methods towards rectifying it.
