What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I enjoy building a positive relationship with my student so they trust me and are comfortable admitting what they don't understand. I love watching their confidence grow as they begin to believe they have the capacity to improve, and with confidence usually comes a passion in the subject material. A genuine interest in the material almost always correlates to improved academic performance.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

A friendly, welcoming energy that makes a student feel comfortable with me and be honest and engage in the lesson. I am passionate about the subject material, and can often impart some of that love of learning onto the student. I am able to identify where students are lacking in their knowledge, and cater my teaching methods to fill in those gaps. I can be a great help with assessment pieces, as I can give them practical approaches to the task and guide them as they think through it without violating academic integrity.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

Create a comfortable, secure environment in their sessions by praising students for effort and engagement rather than correctness. Tutor's should not just tell students whether they are correct or incorrect, but explain why. They must analyse a students working towards the solution to determine exactly where they are lacking in understanding and cater their teaching methods towards rectifying it. They should teach students methods for approaching questions specific to that subject.
