What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

The thing I enjoy the most about tutoring is seeing that of realisation in my students; when they have been struggling with a problem or a concept for a while but then they finally start to make the right connection and it all begins to make sense to them. That moment is which I really feel as though my work is helping to make a difference in the student's learning.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I believe my greatest strength as a tutor is my strong educational background as well as my ability to relate and build great professional rapport with my students. By having a background in both a mathematical and secondary education degrees I am able to fully understand the theory that is embedded within the mathematics as well as find various and effective ways to present and teach these concepts to students. In addition, my friendly and bubbly nature make it really easy for me to connect with students and make them feel comfortable and supported in the learning space.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

I consider the most important thing a tutor can do for their students is create a learning space and environment which makes the student feel relaxed, supported and confident. Most often students who seek out tutoring, are those students who really struggle to grasp and retain concepts taught in class; and therefore often these students lack confidence in their ability to learn and improve. That is why I believe creating these safe spaces for our students that encourage and support them to believe in themselves and their ability to learn and succeed.
