What do I enjoy most about tutoring? π
While the obvious part that I love about tutoring is sharing knowledge and being able to communicate my ideas, knowledge and techniques with others. The best part is being able to learn something new every-time I teach the concept to a different person. Let it be the way they think or the way they understand or something that they share or a common talk we have.. like their hobbies or their story. Itβs just incredible to be able to meet so many new people and connect with them on a completely different tangent of life. βSubjectΓ’β¬.
My Strengths as Tutor πͺ
Over the years I have worked on improving myself in the following skills, so I believe these are my strengths as a tutor,
1) Communication:-
2) Patience:-
3) Thinking out of the box:-
4) Approach to explain a concept: - I tend to come up with unique techniques to explain my concepts and methods.
5) Command over the subjects and topics I am teaching:- I revise and do a bit of research before every-time I teach. This not only helps me to remember the subject but also helps me to have a good command over the topics and hence better communication.
Most important things I can do for a student π
I think the most important thing a tutor can do for his student is eliminating students fear or insecurities about the subject and creating an interest in his student to learn the subject using various techniques, one of them is by showing tutors passion for the subject and making the student realise that even he/ she can learn the subject with love and passion and nail the subject.
This is crucial and all the elements including tutors body language and explanation techniques plays a role.
