What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I love tutoring because I believe that people, especially young people, have a lot of potential. Sometimes they just need some support to have the skills, knowledge and confidence to achieve. Personalised education provided via tutoring can significantly improve a young person's understanding of concepts and their problem-solving skills.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

My biggest strength as a tutor is that I see students as people and tailor my approach to each individual. I recognise and believe in their strengths and potentials. I am communicative and always want to ensure that their needs are met. For example, when teaching people, I will regularly check their level of understanding and explain concepts in a way that suits them. I could draw diagrams, use metaphors and give relevant examples. I am also analytical and meticulous when proofreading, and I love to give helpful feedback. Lastly, I am trained in mental health care, which might help students.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

The most important thing a tutor can do for the student is to believe in them and show encouragement. Self-esteem can be extremely vulnerable during schooling years, and tutors have the power to enhance their students' level of self-confidence and sense of self-efficacy. When I believe in their potential, work with their strengths, support their learning and give them encouragement, they are more likely to achieve what they are capable of. Tutors can make positive impacts on a student through they way they perceive and enagage with them.
