What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

What I enjoy most about tutoring is seeing how students trying their best to progress their learning. The way that they invest their emotional, mental and physical energy in understanding a concept reflects their determination and enthusiasm for learning. And it is heart-warming to see how willing these students are in working towards their goals. I believe that students will thrive when they are happy and healthy. And I will try best to ensure that this happens.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I think my strength as a tutor is patient. During my experience at Menai as a volunteering mentor, I have an opportunity to work with students whose numeracy issues and learning difficulty. I will never forget how excited my students were when they finally understood Maths problems and realised how Maths relate to their life significantly. Seeing how my students enjoyed these mentoring sessions confirmed my passion for teaching.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

The most important thing that a tutor can do for a student is showing much they care for that student. In this case, a caring tutor is someone willing to work for their students. That tutor will show genuine interest in knowing their learner. From there, the tutor will conduct the materials and build learning skills according to that student's personality and learning style. The tutor will also motivate the student and enhance their confidence. Being a caring tutor requires a significant amount of efforts. However, it is worth it to see that a student knows someone cares for them.
