What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
The reason I enjoy tutoring is because it involves imparting knowledge on the younger generation, helping them learn more about how the best way to approach questions and problems they're given. It makes me feel like I'm helping them grow and as a person who knows the impact that teachers and mentors have on me, it makes me want to be the same towards students younger than me. Moreover, it's the bond that I gain with a student, we're both happy when that student feels proud of themselves or when the student is sad, it's the comfort I can try and give to help them gain confidence in themselves.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
Openness: I'm always accessible to the student, I always make sure that I provide them an area of comfort so they can discuss the issues they have and not feel like they're being judged. This means I'm always involved with their learning so I know what they're confused about and how to approach their learning style.
Motivating: If my student does well or even not how they expected to go, I always make sure to approach them in a motivating manner that encourages them, by saying that I'm proud of what they've achieved and as long as they're trying their best, that's what is most important.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
The most important thing I tutor can do for their student is to be compassionate and be a person they feel comfortable approaching when they're in doubt. Just doing this will make it so much easier for the students to ask for what they need instead of feeling hesitant that they'll look unintelligent. It also helps me really understand their learning style and how they approach questions, while also allowing me to help build their confidence when they feel unsure in themselves.
