I am enrolled in Macquarie University, studying Bachelors of Professional Accounting and Applied Finance for 2.5 years. So my math fundamentals are strong. I can speak English, Chinese, Cantonese and Japanese. This helps me tutor people who are unfamiliar with concepts in their foreign languages using their mother tougue. Additionally, I have tutored students back in high school for the International Baccalaureate for 1 year.Most important things I can do for a student π
For me, I consider giving them the knowledge and confidence to be able to step out of their comfort zone to achieve something previously unachievable the most important thing. Sometimes, a tutor is a guiding mentor, you provide them with stories, knowledge and experience.
