What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
Tutoring makes me feel really good inside as I'm able to help other students learn and grow. It gives me immense joy in imparting the knowledge to the students that I have gained so far through my research experience, undergraduate, and graduate studies. There are a few problems that require a step by step approach to proceed, and I feel terrific when I'm able to help someone understand and solve these complex problems through a breakdown approach. My informal tutoring experience has not only boosted my confidence but also made me a good communicator.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
One of my strengths is that I like to build a strong, personal relationship by working closely with my students. I'm confident that I can build a student's confidence and help improve study skills as even I was a student once and I know what all difficulties a student faces during their high school and grad school regarding time management and study plans. My other strength is that I like to listen and provide the student with the opportunity to ask questions. Also, I like to encourage my students for their progress.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
A tutor should be able to establish rapport and trust by being honest. This is the critical element to a successful tutoring relationship. Being patient is also very important as what might be obvious and easy for a tutor may not be for that student. Being a good listener is another essential characteristic that a tutor must-have, as it's vital to pick up clues in a student that helps you understand how he is feeling. A tutor should be flexible so that he can change his techniques and methods in accordance with the learning style of the student.
