What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I find my tutoring work rewarding because of the ability to focus on one person only, and build relationships and help them in a much more targeted way. I find it great to design a curriculum that meets the student's needs, and the freedom to match my work to my level of desire to work. Tutoring forces you to think through the basics of the subject matter, which makes you better at doing that thing. It feels rewarding to watch and measure the student's progress, and to feel that in a way you've contributed to the person's future success and well-being.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I am always prepared and incredibly dependable. I understand the importance of being flexible and adaptable and I have the ability to think on the spot - having volunteered in schools and tutored younger students I have developed some strategies and innovative techniques to help teach students more complex concepts. I also understand that some students prefer to learn in different ways (i.e. visual) and am completely willing to accomodate to these preferences. I am also an enthusiastic and positive individual who will also encourage the student and be optimistic about every instance.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

The most important things as a tutor you can do is build and develop a respectful relationship with your student. Help to create a positive and safe environment that the student feels comfortable in. As a tutor you can help to build both the students confidence and knowledge of particular topics, while also helping to create healthy study skills and habits. Skills such as organisation and focus are as just as important to develop then the curriculum in order to create confident, independent learners. Also, the tutor should always be prepared and adaptable.
