What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I enjoy watching students learn and process problems that were once complicated. It is always a joy to see students have the moment of understanding and confidence that they can complete problems on their own - I think it's incredible to be a part of a student's academic growth and reach their full academic potential.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

My strengths as a tutor are that I am patient with my students and have a keen emotional intelligence. I think it's important to always check in on the students to make sure that they are not feeling overwhelmed and that thy are encouraged by the progress that they are making. I also value students' understanding of concepts so that they have the confidence to solve problems on their own. I think there are many ways to approach a problem in math and science. Therefore, with my patience I am willing to work at problem in different ways for the student to understand.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

I think one of the most important things a tutor can do for a student is give the student confidence that they can complete problems on their own and be successful in their studies. I remember how disheartening it was when I couldn't understand or effectively answer problems in school. Especially at a younger age, academic success is a value that is highly regarded by society. Without the internal confidence, students can feel a lack of self worth or motivation. Being a tutor who is encouraging and motivating is so important to make this happen.
