What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I enjoying being able to build a solid rapport with my students, and watching as they gain more and more confidence in a subject area that was previously so intimidating is something that I find veyr rewarding. Though most of my experience has been in coaching junior teams, I have found it very easy to transfer these learning and support techniques over to academic tutoring, and look forward to the opportunity to be able to further develop these skills.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I am very dedicated to each of my students and take a very analytical and progress-driven approach to their learning. I first talk with the student and through preliminary testing identify the areas in which they need to improve the most. Over the course of my time with them I will proritise on these focus areas, but am willing to chop and change when assignments and tests come up that need a different focus. In the end my goal is to help the student to enjoy the learning process and become the best that they can be.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
The role of a tutor is not only to help their students get their best grades, but also to be able to connect with them and make sure that they get the best advice as they move through their schooling career. Identifying focus areas, setting goals, listening to concerns and providing homework is all important, but your students should be able to enjoy their learning, confide in you as a mentor and want to keep coming back for more.
