What do I enjoy most about tutoring? π
I think the most rewarding thing about tutoring is helping someone reach that break-through moment in their learning where they become more familiar and confident in what they previously struggled with. Not only do you help them develop their skills but you can relate to their struggles as someone who has experienced it during your schooling as well.
My Strengths as Tutor πͺ
My willingness to always improve is what sets me apart as I am not one to shy away from constructive criticism. I cherish the feedback that others give me, whether it be someone older than me like my teachers, or a younger child who is just learning the ropes, so to speak. I am also consistently punctual and will arrive upon request to meet the demands of the tutee. Finally, I like to take initiative by asking the tutee whether they need any further assistance with their learning so they don't feel restricted to just a few minutes or hours of my time.
Most important things I can do for a student π
For one, what is invaluable to a student is someone who is patient in handling their learning style. A tutor who doesn't easily get frustrated and is always ready and keen to teach effectively is an integral part of the development of the tutee in a particular area of study. Furthermore, taking the lead to make the tutee feel comfortable with the content and not just tutoring for the sake of it allows them to feel more at ease with what they are learning instead of leaving them to cope with their own struggles without any direction.
