What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
Teaching is hard, but that is because it matters. It amazes me how a student can outgrow the little expectations we have of them just because someone has enough faith in them to keep trying and help them to find their way. Building a relationship with my students is something I try to achieve during all the learning process so I can understand better my students' feelings and emotions to make sure they are reaching their best performance at every level.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
Once I heard that teaching is 1/4 preparing and 3/4 theatre and I couldn't agree more. I have fun learning and teaching and it's always my goal to make sure my students are soaking in all the knowledge they need but having a good time, without struggling or stressing (not that a bit of a positive challenge and determination are not necessary). One of my greater strengths is that I know how to listen (even if there are no words said aloud) and understand my students' needs so I can adapt the content and make a tailor-fit lesson.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
Lesson planning, multi-tasking, being accurate, adaptability, positivity, content creator, cheerleader, organized, etc. are essential adjectives and qualities for a teacher but I believe that the quality we cannot lose is the will to keep learning, even from our students. If we are open to new challenges and knowledge and transmit our enthusiasm to live new experiences, we build a relationship where trust is fundamental and therefore learning can be done through listening and understanding.
